The Enemy Conspires

The enemy always conspires, consults, steals and twists so to deceive us. And I am not just talking about Satan, that ancient serpent of old who seeks to steal, kill and destroy, at times silent as a snake and again like a roaring lion, but I am talking about his workmen who carry out the deeds of darkness. Yes, humans do conspire and carry out pure evil conspiracies of all kinds. Although the enemy will often take the truth, twist the narrative and launch an accusatory, and retaliatory, attack against those who are wielding truth. Satan even takes the concept of the sword and trowel from the Scriptures twisting it into a perverted form of usage for the Masons. Fortunately C.H. Spurgeon used it correctly and in a God honoring and Christ exalting fashion (You can still get the Sword and Trowel Magazine today).

Reflecting on Twenty Years

Reflecting on Twenty Years: Plowing into Eternity | As I have said before, "I in a heap of sin so insurmountable that if it were not for the grace of Jesus Christ and His propitiation, I would forever be undone by my atrocities against the Lord my God."

Merry Christmas and Hope to Come

May we move forward remembering what Jesus declared, for truly He is the only “way, truth and life” and that “apart from Him we can do nothing” pleasing to our God. Let us not be those who...

“I can do all things…” Not Exactly!

This last Sunday Pastor Brett Baggett, of Ekklesia Muskogee, gave the last of two messages dedicated to Philippians 4:13 - "I can do all things through Him who strengthens me." There is little doubt that the exposition given through this verse is one of the best I have ever heard; it was clear, concise and as if one of the puritans or reformers was heralding the Word!

Standing in Evil Days: Don Currin

Truly a great means of grace in our day and age in standing firm in the evil days. Brother Don Currin gives a good and powerful message to fight today. Oh that we would be about the "plowing of our fallow ground." (Jeremiah 4:3; Hosea 10:12)

Oh Please Hear Us Dear Pastor: An Open Letter From A Simple Man

What a year thus far, to say the least. What I find most heavy upon me is not the state of mankind, nor the politics of the day, nor even eschatological placement of our age, no, not these. The thing that weighs most heavy upon me is the constant 'pole positioning' of leaders / pastors in the professing church.

Pressing of God

"God can never make us into wine if we object to the fingers He uses to crush us with. If God would only use His own fingers, and make me broken bread and poured-out wine in a special way! But when he uses someone whom we dislike..."
